Thallus flat, narrow-linear, pinkish-red, branched irregulary dichotomously and alternately, on tops of branches digitately and pectinately. On stones and stipes of Laminaria, in sublittoral, in exposed and semisheltered localities. Occuring frequently, in small numbers. Boreal-low Arctic species.
