Thallus bladed, leaf-like, bright red, branched, with prolifications. Midrib and lateral venis clearly distinguished. Lithophyte. In sublittoral, in the depth of 5-40m, predominating in exposed localities. occuring frequently aboundant. Common. Boreal- Arctic species.
