Grzegorz Węgrzyn, Professor
Professor Grzegorz Węgrzyn is head of the Department of Molecular Biology (Faculty of Biology, University of Gdansk). His main research topics are molecular mechanisms of the regulation of gene expression and DNA replication. In his research he deals with molecular biology, genetic diseases, DNA biochips and bacteria. He was also the coordinator of research related to genetics and biotechnological use of marine bacteria. In the IDEAL project, he will support the implementation of a research task related to the estimation of the role of microorganisms, as well as changes in their structure and function depending on environmental factors. |
