Radioli united by membrane for about three quarters their length.
No tentacular filaments and palps.
Anal depression absent.
Species description
Thorax with 8, abdomen 68-74 chaetigers. 11-22 pairs of radioli, united by membrane for about three quarters their length. No tentacular filaments and palps. Ventral margin of collar higher then dorsal, without a ventral cleft. First chaetiger with long, winged, geniculate chaetae. Next thoracic notopodia with long, weakly bent and winged capillaries, short spatulate chaetae and geniculate, winged chaetae. Thoracic neuropodial hooks with long shafts. Abdominal neuropodial chaetae geniculate capillaries. Notopodia with uncini. Pygydium with rounded posterior margin.
Size
Up to 120 mm.
Color
Body cream - coloured. Pink or greenish, with an orange crown.
Habitat
On soft substrata. Also between shells, seaweeds, hydroids and on rocks.
Mobility
Sedentary.
Feeding
Suspension feeder.
