Distinguishing characteristics
Radioli united by membrane for half their length.
Collar of even height all around.
Anal depression present.
Species description
Thorax with 8, abdomen up to 29 chaetigers. 9-11 (17) pairs of radioli, united by membrane for half their length, 5-10 tentacular filaments. Collar of even height all around with mid-ventral incision. Thoracic notopodial chaetae long, slightly bent, winged capillaries and shorter spatulate chaetae. Thoracic neuropodial hooks with long shafts. Abdominal neuropodial chaetae geniculate, winged at the tip. Notopodia with uncini. 10-12 prepygidial chaetigers forming the anal depression, bordered by lateral wings. Pygidium triangular. Tube - membranous, encrusted with sand or detritus.

Up to 21 mm.
Color
Body reddish to yellow, in alcohol brownish or colourless.
Habitat
Bathyal, infralittoral and circalittoral of the Gulf and estuary.
Mobility
Sedentary.
Feeding
Suspension feeder.
