- Measuring physical parameters of sea water in situ and in laboratory, especially inherent and apparent optical properties of sea water with use of various oceanographic instruments,
- Analysing of oceanographic data,
- Analysing of remote sensing data,
- Using Windows UNIX and LINUX computer systems for scientific data analysis and visualisation (SeaDAS, Sigma Plot, Statistica).
- 1. Characterization of Coloured Dissolved Organic Matter - CDOM using spectrophotometric and spectro-fluorometric Excitation-Emission Matrix techniques to quantify the change of CDOM absorption in the UV-VIS light spectrum and 3D fluorescence spectra.
- 2. Analysis of qualitative and quantitative influence of optically active components of the sea water on the structure of underwater light field in respect of their retrieval algorithms.
- 3. Use of remote sensing data in process studies and environmental monitoring of semi-enclosed seas.
