The ice conditions did not look very optimistic in the morning...

but again we were very lucky and managed to collect our amphipod traps ...

full of amphipods again ...

in a really last second. Several minutes later ice was already gone!

Once the sun started to shine, we felt almost like in California - here, Arctic Macho on the scooter ;)
