The time before lunch we spent on preparing our first trip to the ice. While Wojtek was checking our equipment, Zosia and myself tried and

put really warm cloths on...

Than we packed our equipment (traps for amphipods, sews, bottles, coolers, Petit Ponar grab and many more) on sledges...

and we headed off to the glacier on scooters.

First we checked the ice thickness ...

and as everything was fine we took samples, set the traps ...

and after hard work came back to lab to work even harder.... Report from ice and lab work shell be published soon ;)
